  • The Abbey Saint-Germain.
  • The Cathedral Saint-Etienne and its crypt form the XIth century: this cathedral was built over the bases of a site built by the Bishop Saint-Amâtre during the IVth century, form which remains nothing. The bishop Guillaume de Seignelay layed the foundations of the actual cathedral in 1215.

The markets :

The markets takes place every Tuesday and Thursday mornings. Also Sunday mornings on Auxerre's hights.

Auxerre is located in the heart of a wine region and disposes of a wine heritage well known worldwide.
Besides the vines du Clos de la Chaînette, at the center of the town, Auxerre is surrounded by amongst the most fabulous burgundy vineyard. (Chablis, Saint-Bris-le-Vineux, Irancy, Coulanges-la-Vineuse…)
